Changchun is located in the central part of Songliao Plain in Northeast China. As the proud capital of Jilin Province, it is the second largest city in Northeast China and the political, economic and cultural center of the province. Changchun is known for for being the origin of the Chinese automobile industry, a famous auto city in the country. On July 13, 1956, a truck branded with Jiefang was produced, which opened a new age for the country's auto industry. This truck was the first automobile entirely made by Chinese. 

Changchun Longjia International airport (CGQ) is precisely located right in between Changchun and Jilin City. It opened on August 27th 2005 and is capable of handling more than 3.2 million passengers per year. At present, the airport has 63 air lines to 46 cities home and abroad. The domestic flights reach Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Tianjin, Hangzhou, Xian, Wuhan, Qingdao, etc and the international flights reach Hong Kong, Tokyo, Sendai, Seoul, Busan, Vladivostok, etc.
